RESOLUTION NO, 1024
"
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER AND/OR
THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SIGN APPLICATION FOR
DAMAGE CLAIM WITH THE OFFICE OF EMERGl~CY PREPAREDNESS,
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of February, 1973, the President declared a
"major disaster" in the State of California under the provisions of Public
Law 606, 9lst Congress, and
WHEREAS, the CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE is a public entity within said State
of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, that the Office of Emergency Preparedness bp and hereby is requested
for financial assistance to perform the following:
Emergency flood damage work in the CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE.
This body certifies that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, the
requested work is eligible under Public Law 606, 9lst Congress, and agrees to
(a) provide without cost to the United States all lands, easements, and right-
of ways necessary for accomplishment of the approved work; and (b) hold and
save the United States free from damages due to the approved work,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administrative Officer and/or Director
of Public Works be authorized to execute such other documents on behalf of the
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE as are necessary to arrange for the performance of said
repair work or to apply fora grant for purposes of paying for that repair work
above described.
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Wood and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wood, de Leon and Mayor Schlegel
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 27th day of February, 1973,

of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby certify that the 'foregoing
Resolution No, 1024 is a true, full and correct copy of said resolution passed
