RESOLUTION NO. 1019 A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'IY COUNCIL OF THE CIIT OF ARROYO
GRANDE SETTING FORTH ITS IN1~NTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF
BAXTER ALLEY AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING AS
PROVIDED FOR BY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 8320, ET SEQ.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande finds that public
interest and convenience requires the vacation of certain real property used
for street purposes along a portion of Baxter alley in the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Arroyo Grande City Council elects
to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8320, 8321 and
8322 in Division 9~ Part 3, Chapter 2, thereof;
That said street to be vacated is commonly known as a portion of the
southerly fifty-five feet (55') of Baxter alley and is described in that
certain map on file with the City Clerk, a copy of which is herein referred
to by reference;
That the time and place of hearing protests of the vacation of said
street is hereby fixed as follows: Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers,
214 E. Branch Street, Arroyo Grande. California, 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the
13th day of February, 1973;
That the City Clerk shall publish this resolution at least once in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder not less than fifteen (15) days prior
to said hearing.
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Talley and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wood, de Leon and Mayor Schlegel
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
