A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIl, (,T':: I [,
OF ARROYO GRANDE IN COMMENDATION OF COUNTY
SUPERVISOR Mo ROIAND GATES
WHEREAS, County Supervisor M. Roland "Rolli,," GJite& has willingly and
unselfishly devoted sixteen years of his life to promoting the interests of
his fellow citizens in the County of San Luis Obispo as membEr of thE County
Board of Supervisors, and in numerous other capacities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande 'recognizes and
acknowledges the many fine contributions and the dedicated public service
which Supervisor Roland Gates has made, given and devoted to all of the people
of San Luis Obispo County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
That on behalf of said City Council, both as a Council and individually,
and on behalf of the citizens of Arroyo Grande, Supervisor Roland Gates be and
hereby is commended for his fine, able and dedicated service and efforts to
all of the people of the County of San Luis Obispo throughout the past many
years that he has devoted to public service.
On motion of Councilman Talley, secon~,f,d by C"uncUman Wood and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wo"d and Mayor Sc:hlegd,

ABSENT: Councilman de Leon
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 26th day of September, 1972.
