RESOLUTION NO. 996
A RESOLUTION OF ~ CITY COl~CIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING AUTHOR.IZATION TO THE
ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE or CALIFORNIA TO
SETTLE OR DISMISS, ON THE CITYuS ~EBALF, A CIVIL
ANTITRUST SUIT HERETOFORE BROUGHT AGAINST
CERTAIN AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS.
~REREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has heretofore
adopted a Resolution authorizing the State of California Attorney General to
prosecute a civil antitrust lawsuit on its behalf against certain automobile
manufacturers, and
WHEREAS, on the basis of said authorization the State of California .
Attorney Generalis Office has included the City of Arroyo Grande in that
certain lawsuit entitled "The State of California, et a1., vs. Automobile
Manufacturer's Association, et a1." presently on file in the United States
District Court for the Central District of California, as case number
70-S4lR, and
WHEREAS, it would be to the advantage of the State of California and
the City of Arroyo Grande to settle or dismiss said lawsuit insofar as the
City of Arroyo Grande is concerned,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The State of California Attorney General's Office is hereby author-
ized to settle or dismiss that certain civil antitrust lawsuit above-referred
to insofar as it pertains to the City of Arroyo Grande.
On motion of Councilman Wood, seconded by Councilman de Leon and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wood, de Leon and Mayor Schlegel
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 27th day of June, 1972.

of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution No. 996 is a true, full and correct copy of said resolution passed
and adopted by the City Council bf the City of Arroyo Grande at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the 27th day of June, 1972.
