A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CI'IY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ORDERING TIlE VACATION OF CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF HARRISON STREET, AN ARROYO GRANDE CITY
STREET, UNDER PROVISIONS OF SECTION 8323 ET, SEQ"
OF THE CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has heretofore
elected to vacate portions of Harrison Street in th~ City of ,
Arroyo Grande, under the provisions of Streets and Highways Code Sections
8320, 8321, 8322 and 8323; and
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing of said proposed abandonment has been
gf~en in accordance with the above referred to provisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at its regularly noticed hearing in the
City of Arroyo Grande on the 23rd day of May, 1972, at the hour of 8 o'clock
P,M, found from all the evidence submitted that the following portion of
Harrison Street was unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes;
NOW, TIlEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of Arroyo
Grande that the hereinafter described real property is ordered vacated,
Said real property is described as follows:
A parcel of land being a portion of Harrison Street right of
way between Lots 27 and 12 of Blocks 27 and 27-A, respectively
in Beckett's Crown Hill Addition to town Arroyo Grande, City
of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of Calif-
ornia, recorded in Book "A" of Maps at Page 57 and on file in
the office of said County Recorder of San Luis Obispo County,
said parcel being a portion of the Harrison Street right of
way being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northern most corner of Lot 27 in Blk 27,
a point also on the South right of way line of Corbett
Canyon Road, State Highway #227; thence South 610 West,
67,76 feet along the South right of way line of Harrison
Street to a point on a curve from which a radial line bears
South 870 23' 16" West, 45.00 feet to the center of said
c.urve; thence along said curve to the left through a
central angle of 520 46' 32", an arc distance of 41.44 feet
to a point on said curve from which a radial line bears
South 340 36' 44" West; thence North 610 00' East, along
the North right of way line of Harrison Street 58.46 feet
to a point on the South right of way line of Corbett Canyon
Road, also the Eastern most corner of Lot 12 in Blk 27-A of
said addition; thence along said right of way line, South
410 56' .East, 41.04 feet to the point of beginning,
Reserving therefrom over the entire parcel an easement for the
purpose of drainage, water, Sewer and utilities and the right
to construct, maintain, operate, replace, renew, remove and
enlarge said lines, including access thereto,
On motion of Councilman Wood, seconded by Councilman Talley and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wood, de Leon and Mayor Schlegel
