RESOLUTION NO. 976
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CIlli\TASS
OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HF;W ON
THE 11TH DAY OF APRIL, 1972, TO BE MADE BY THE
CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE.
WHEREAS, a regular general municipal elflction will be held and
conducted in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of
California, on Tuesday, the llth day of April 1972, as required by law.; :md
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City desires the canvass l)f SG,id
election to be made by tr~ City Clerk of said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECIARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. 'rtwt pursuant to Section 22932.5 of ti,e Elections Cude
of the State of California, the canvass of the regular general municipal
election to be held in tbe City of Arroyo Grande, County of San l.uis Obispo,
State of California, on Tuesday, the 11th day of April, 1972, is hereby
ordered to be made by the City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande,
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City shall prior to th" 18th
day of April, 1972, complete the canvass of tho regular general municipal
election to be held in said City on the 11th day of April 1972, and "1~11
certify the results to this said City Council on the 18th day of April, 1972,
SECTION 3, That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original
Resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings cf the City Council of
said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and
adopted.
SECTION 4, That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Schlegel
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and
Mayor Levine
NOES: None
