RESOLUTION NO, -21iL
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE INSTRUCTING THE SUPERINIENDENT OF
STREETS TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE
CURBS, GUTTERS, DRIVEWAY APRONS AND SIDEWALKS,
AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF
THE INSTALLED CURBS, GUTTERS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS
AND SIDEWALKS.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Arroya Grane",
has reported to the City Council that more than 50% of concrete sid8yalks
are installed on the south side of Grand Avenue between Halcyon Road and
Alder Street; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Arroyo Grande
has reported to the City Council that more than 50% of concrete curb, gutter
and driveway aprons are installed on the east side of Halcyon Road betwE:en
Grand Avenue and Cornwall Avenue,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds, in accordance with
the report of said Superintendent nf Streets, and instructs said officer to
notify the owners or persons in possession of the properties fronting on
those portions of Grand Avenue, as listed above, in which no concrete side-
walks have been constructed theretofore, to construct, or cause to be
constructed, concrete sidewalks in front of his said property, and the
improvements for the proper functioning of the installed sidewalks.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby finds, in accordance with
the report of said Superintendent of Streets, and instructs said offic~r to
notify the owners or persons in possession of the properties fronting on
that portion of Halcyon Road, as listed above, in which no concrete curbs,
gutters or driveway aprons have been constt~cted theretofore, to construct,
or cause to be constructed, concrete curbs, gutters and driveway aprons in
front of his said property, and the improvements for the proper functioning
of the installed curbs, gutters and driveway aprons.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Councilman Talley and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor
Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 14th day of March, 1972.
