R 0945 -"-.. ..- RESOWTION NO. ~ A RESOUJTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1971, AND FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS: 1, The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Arroyo Grande, California, as revenue to carryon the various departments is hereby fixed as follows: GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS the sum of $178,203,26 EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT the sum of $ 23,876,91 STREET LIGHTING the sum of $ 22,129,82 RECREATION the sum of $ 6.406,00 TOTAL the sum of $230,615,99 2, BE IT FURTHER RESOVED that for the purpose of raising said sum' of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within said City as revenue to carry on the various departments of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1971, the rates of taxes is hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property within the said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1971 as follows: GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS at the rate of $1.530 upon each $100,00 of assessed valuation of said property, EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT at the rate of $0.205 upon each $100,00 of assessed valuation of said property, STREET LIGHTING at the rate of $0,190 upon each $100,00 of assessed valuation of said property, RECREATION at the rate of $0.055 upon each $100.00 of assessed valuation of said property, TOTAL at the rate of $1.980 upon each $100,00 of assessed valuation of said property, as assessed by the Assessor of the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said County, 3, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is passed and adopted pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for the Levy and Collection of Taxes Under the Laws of the State of California, Except MUnicipal Corporations of the First Class, and to provide for the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and to Provide that their Duties may be Performed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixing the Compensation to be Allowed for such County Officers for Services to be Rendered to such Municipal Corporations" (California Statutes 1895, page 219, and amendments thereto). 4, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall, within fifteen (15) days after its passage, be published at least once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder, a weekly newspaper of general circulation published and circulated within the City of Arroyo Grande.
