RESOLUTION NO, 937
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE NAMIN~ THE LITTLE LEAGUE AREA
OF THE BASEBALL COMPLEX "PETE SANTOS FIELD"
WHEREAS, it has been established by Resolution No. 735 that the Parks
and Recreation Commission will recommend names for City Parks to the City
Council for its approval and adoption, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has considered names to
be used for identification of certain park areas in the City of Arroyo Grande
and has recommended that the Little League area of the baseball complex be
named "Pete Santos Field" and be approved and adopted by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The little league area of the baseball complex, located at approxi-
mately 1365 Ash Street, is hereby officially named PETE SANTOS FIELD, to
commemorate the name of Pete Santos, who was instrumental in developing the
first little league baseball field in the City of Arroyo Grande.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Councilman Wood and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Schlegel.
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 11th day of May, 1971,

San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution No. 937 is a true, full and correct copy of said resolution passed
