RESOLUTION NO. 931
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN
APPLICATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF
HIGHWAYS FOR AN AREA-WIDE TOPICS PLAN AND STUDY
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande desires to undertake and carry out a
program of traffic improvements; and
WHEREAS, the orderly progression to such a program will require an Area-
wide Traffic Operations Study and Analysis to identify traffic problems; Development
of an overall Traffic Operations Improvement Plan and Program, and a Priority Pro-
gram for proposed improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the total cost of the program of such studies
is $3,045, of which the City's share would be approximately $874; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishment of such a program is in the best interests of
the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, California, as follows:
That an application be made to the California Division of Highways for
approval of the City's proposal to participate in the TOPICS program.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution, shall cause the same to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of said
City, and shall cause the action of the City Council in adopting the same to be
entered in the official minutes of said City Council.
On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Wood and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 23rd day of March, 1971.
