R 0926 RESOLUTION NO. ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS FOR UPWARD AND DOWNWARD DRIVEWAYS AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 581 WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt Rules and Regulations pertaining to the establishment of maximum rise or descent permitted on Standard Driveways in the City of Arroyo Grande, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, that the plans entitled "DRIVEWAY STANDARDS, CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, APRIL, 1963", a copy of which is attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A" and incorporated by reference as though fully setforth herein, is herewith adopted, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in particular situations, where the strict adher- ence to said standards creates an undue hardship, the Arroyo Grande Director of Public Works may permit the maximum grade to be increased from 20% to 25%. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any appeal of the decision of the Director of Public Works to refuse to increase the maximum grade from 20% to 25%; or any request for an increase beyond 25% maximum grade must be made in writing, filed with the City Clerk, and directed to the City Council. On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Schlegel and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, [alley and Mayor Levine NOES: Councilman Wood ABSENT: None the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 9th day of February, 1971. ~LdY~ MAYOR ATTES~~~~ CIT LERK I, Polly S.
