RESOLUTION NO. 917
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING THE STATE'OF CALIFORNIA
APPROVED HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE BY AMENDING SECTION 7,
RULE X OF RESOLUTION NO; 606.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under the
provisions of Section 2-3.02, Chapter 3, of the Municipal Code to adopt
revisions and amendments to the Personnel System Rules and Regulations of
the City of Arroyo Grande as adopted by Resolution No. 606,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande, that Section 7, Rule X, of Resolution No. 606 is hereby
amended as follows:
SEC. 7 Holidays: Municipal offices shall be closed on the following
legal holidays:
a. every Sunday,
b. January 1,
c. February 12, known as "Lin"oln Day",
d. the third Monday in February,
e. the last Monday in May,
L July 4,
g. first , MOnday in September
h. September 9, known as "Admission Day"
i. the second Monday in October, known as "Columbus Day"
j. the fourth Monday in October. known as "Ve,terans Day",
k. Thanksgiving Day,
t. December 25,
m. Good Friday, from 12 noon until 3 P.M.,
n. every day on which an election is held throughout the State,
o. every day appointed by the President or Gqvernor or Mayor for
public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday,
p. and if January 1, February 12, July 4, September 9 or December 25
falls upon a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.
Un motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded ,by Councilman Talley, and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine

ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 22nd day of December, 1970.
