RESOLUTION NO. 912
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF TALLY HO ROAD, AN ARROYO GRANDE CITY
STREET, UNDER PROVISIONS OF SECTION 8323 OF THE
CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has heretofore
elected to vacate a portion of Tally Ho Road, in the City of Arroyo Grande,
under the provisions of Streets and Highways Code Sections 8320, 8321, B322
and 8323; and
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing of said proposed abandonment has been
given in accordance with the above referred to provisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at its regularly noticed hearing in the
City of Arroyo Grande on the 8th day of December, 1970, at the hour of 8
o'clock P.M. found from all the evidence submitted that the following por-
tion of Tally Ho Road was unnecessary for present or prospective street pur-
poses;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of Arroyo
Grande that the hereinafter described real property is ordered vacated.
Said real property is described as follows:
In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of
Ca1ifornie, that portion of Tally Ho Road lying Northeasterly of
and adjacent to Lot 5 of the Hilliker and woodbury Tract as shown
in Book B of Maps at Page 78, records of said County, being further
described as follows:
Beginning at the most Easterly corner of said Lot 5; thence along the
Northeasterly line of said lot, North 550 36' West a distance of 93.72
feet to the most northerly corner thereof; thence along the North-
easterly. prolongation of the Northwesterly line of said Lot 5, North
280 39' East, a distance of 60.39 feet to its intersection with the
Southwesterly line of Lot 1 of the Map of the Subdivision of Lot 73
of Stratton's Survey of the RanchO Corral de Piedra as recorded in
Book B of Maps at Page 95 records of said County; thence along the
Southwesterly line of said Lot 1 and the Southeasterly prolongation
thereof, to its intersection with the northeasterly prolongation of
the southeasterly line of said Lot 5; thence South 27' 25' 26" West
along the Northerly extension of the Southeasterly line of said Lot
5 to the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for public utilities and drainage
purposes and ingress and egress, said easement being 20 feet in
width lying 10 feet on either side of a line located 30 feet North-
easterly and parallel to the Northeasterly line of said Lot 5.
On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Wood, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Thompson, wood, Talley and Mayor Levine.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Schlegel
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 8th day of December,1970.
