A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF APPLICATION
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR A GRANT UNDER P.L. 89-117,
. WHEREAS, pursuant to P.L. 89-117 the United States of America has author-
ized the making of grants to public bodies to aid in financing the construct-
ion of basic water and sewer projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande,
1. That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized to
execute and file an application On behalf of the City of Arroyo
Grande with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, United
States Government, for a grant to aid in financing the construction
of the Arroyo Grande Sewer Assessment District, and an assurance
of compliance with the Department of Housing and Urban Development
regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
2. That Thomas M. Butch, City Administrator, be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as the Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development may reasonably request in
connection with the application which is herein authorized to be
filed.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Councilman Wood and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Schlegel.
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 10th day of November,
1970.

The undersigned duly qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of
Arroyo Grande does hereby certify: that the attached resolution is a true
and correct copy of the resolution, authorizing the filing of application
with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, as regularly adopted
at a legally convened meeting of the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande duly held on the 10th day of November, 1970; and further that such
resolution has been fully recorded in the journal of proceedings and records
in my office.
