RESOLUTION NO. 899 ,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE RESTRICTING PARKING ON A PORTION
OF FAIR OAKS AVENUE AND ESTABLISHING BOULEVARD
STOPS ON FAIR OAKS AVENUE AT VALLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande is, by
Ordinance, permitted to establish Restricted Parking and Boulevard Stops en
City Streets, and
WHEREAS, it appears necessary and desirable to restrict parking
on a portion of Fair Oaks Avenue and to establish boulevard stops on Fair Oaks
Avenue at Valley Road,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande, that parking on Fair Oaks Avenue, between Valley Road and Woodland
Drive, be restricted to emergency parking only; and that boulevard stop signs be
installed as follows:
1. A stop sign be placed on Fair Oaks Avenue at Valley Road,
so as to cause all traffic traveling east to stop at Valley Road.
2. A stop sign be placed on Fair Oaks Avenue at Valley Road,
so as to cause all traffic traveling west to stop at Valley Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the City of
Arroyo Grande be, and he is herewith ordered to install all necessary signs as
above set forth.
On motion of Councilman Wood seconded by Councilman Talley and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of October, 1970.
