R 0893 ."..... --- RESOLUTION NO. 893 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO THE ESTABLISHING OF A TWO PER CENT LIMITATION ON A CITY'S FRANCHISE FEE FOR CABLE T. V . WHEREAS, the Federal Cammunications Commission has proposed rule changes affecting cable television (CATV) systems, which limit a city's franchise fee to two per cent of a CATV system's gross receipts and to require that CATV systems provide four special public service channels, including one for use by the city government. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande opposes the interference by the Federal Cammunications Commission in the area of Cable T. V. by franchise or otherwise; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande opposes the establishing by the FCC a two per cent limitation on a City's franchise fee for cable T. V.
