RESOLUTION NO. 891
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF WEST BRANCH STREET AND FIXING TIME ANO
PLACE FOR HEARING AS PROVIDED FOR BY STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS COOE SECTION 8320, et seq.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande finds that public
interest and convenience requires the disposal of certain real property dedi-
cated to said City for street purposes along a portion of West Branch Street
in the City of Arroyo Grande; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande further finds that
the public convenience and necessity requires the reservation of all easements
within that portion of said West Branch Street Intended to be abandoned Including
the right at anytime to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew
any and all structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande elects to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Sections
8320, 8321, 8322, 8330 and 8331 in Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, thereof;
That said street to be vacated is commonly known as a portion of West Branch
Street and is described in that certain map on file with the City Clerk, a copy
of which is herein referred to by reference;
That the time and place of hearing protests of the vacation of sal"!! City
street is hereby fixed as follows: Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers, 8:00
o'clock P.M., October 13, 1970;
That the City Clerk shall publish this resolution at least once in the Five
Cities Times-Press-Recorder not less than Fifteen (15) days prior to said hearing.
On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Wood and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
