RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE IN COMMENDATION OF COUNTY SUPERVISOR LYLE F.
CARPENTER
WHEREAS, County Supervisor Lyle F. Carpenter has willingly and
unselfishly devoted many years of his life to promoting the interests of his
fellow citizens in the County of San Luis Obispo as Chairman and member of
the County Board of Supervisors, County Planning Commission, Port San Luis
, Harbor Commission, Local Agency Formation Commission, and in numerous other
capaci ties; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande recognizes I

and acknowledges the many fine contributions and the dedicated public service
which Supervisor Lyle F. Carpenter has made, given and devoted to all of the
people of San Luis Obispo County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
That on behalf of said City COuncil, both as a Council and individ-
ually, and on behalf of the citizens of Arroyo Grande, Supervisor Lyle F.
Carpenter be and hereby is commended for his fine, able and dedicated service
and efforts to all of the people of the County of San Luis Obispo throughout
the past many years that he has devoted to public service.
On motion of Councilman Wood, seconded by Councilman Talley and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and
Mayor Levine
NOES: None

the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of August, 1970.
