RESOLUTION NO. 882 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING THAT THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY AND CITIES AREA PLANNING COORDINATING COUNCIL BE APPOINTED BY THE STATE AS THE TOPICS "COORDINATING AGENT" FOR THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has in the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1968 declared it to be in the national interest for Federal Funds to be expended for a "TOPICS" program which consists of making traffic operations improvements on a systematic basis in accordance with an areawide plan over a net- work of arterial and other major streets within urban areas; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the State of California TOPICS legislation to establish Coordinating Agents to properly coordinate the TOPICS studies and activities of the various agencies within urban areas so that the limited funds available can be expended in the most productive manner. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby recommend that the San Luis Obispo County and Cities Area Planning Coordinating Council be appointed by the State as the TOPICS "Coordinating Agent" for the City Of Arroyo Grande.
