RESOLUTION NO. 833
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE INSTRUCTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE
CURBS, GUTTERS, DRIVEWAY APRONS AND SIDEWALKS
AND TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS,
GUTTERS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS; AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR
THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE INSTALLED CURBS,
GUTTERS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS AND SIDEWALKS.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Arroyo
Grande has reported to the City Council that more than 50% of con-
crete cur:P, gutter, driveway aprons and sidewalks are installed on
the north side of Grand Avenue between Elm Street and Fairview Drive
and on the south side of Grand Avenue between Elm Street and Juniper
Street; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Arroyo
Grande has reported to the City Council that more than 50% of con-
crete curb, gutter and driveway aprons are installed or have been
petitioned for on the north side of Le Point Street between McKinley
Street and Crown Terrace.
NOW, . THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds, in accordance
with the report of said Superintendent of Streets, and instructs
said officer to notify the owners or perSOni!f".'1:l'!;possession of the
properties fronting on those portions of Grand Avenue,as listed
above, in which no concrete curbs, gutters, driveway aprons or side-
walks have been constructed theretofore, to construct, or cause to
be constructed, concrete curbs, gutters, driveway aprons and side-
walks in front of his said property, and the improvements for the
proper functioning of the installed curbs, gutters, driveway aprons
and sidewalks.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby finds, in accordance
with the report of said Superintendent of Streets, and instructs
said officer to notify the owners or persons in possession of the
properties fronting on that portion of Le Point Street, as listed
above, in which no concrete curbs, gutters or driveway aprons have
been constructed theretofore, to construct, or cause to be con-
structed, concrete curbs, gutters and driveway aprons in front of
his said property, and the improvements for the proper functioning
of the installed curbs, gutters and driveway aprons.
On motion of Councilman Smith , seconded by Council-
man Schleqel and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Schlegel, Smith and Mayor Thompson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen Levine and Wood
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of
August, 1969.
