RESOLUTION NO. 801
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ENDORSING FURTHER IMPROVEMENT OF
THE CUYAMA HIGHWAY (ROUTE NO.166) DURING THE YEAR
1968-1969.
WHEREAS, San Luis Obispo County, Kern County and Santa
Barbara County have consistently urged the California Highway
Commission to budget funds for improvement of a portion of State
Route 166 as an expressway between Highway 101 and the community of
Cuyama because said improvement is of great importance to the growth
and economic development of each of said counties; and
WHEREAS, the present inadequacy of subject highway has been
repeatedly demonstrated in recent years; and
WHEREAS, portions of this route have been engineered and
rignt of' way has been acquired; I
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, .8.S follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Ar~cyo Grande does urge
the California Highway Commission to make the necessary
funds available for the further improvement of that
remaining unimproved portion of Route 166 between Santa
Maria and Cuyama Valley, and
2. That the Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and
directed to forward copies of this resolution to:
