RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE AUTHORIZED
AGENT OF ~tm CITY OF ARROYO GAANDg TO gXECUTE AMENDMENT
TO OLD-AGE, SURVIVORS, AND DISABILITY INSURANCE AGREEMENT
WXTH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, an agreement was approved on behalf of the State
of California on February 4, 1953, providing for themclusion of
certain eligible emp~oyees of the City of Arroyo Grande in the Cali-
fornia State Social Security Agreement: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
deems it to be in the best interests of the City to execute an
amendment to said agreement to extend coverage under the California
State Social Security Agreement to the elective legislative positions
of City Councilmen as to services performed on and after July I, 1968.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Clerk,
Authorized Agent of the City of Arroyo Grande, be and is hereby
authorized and directed to execute said amendment to the Old-Age,
Survivors, and Disability Insurance Agreement in the form and content
of the copy attached'hereto.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman
Smit~ and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Schlegel, Smith and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 9th day of July, 1968.
