RESOLUTION NO. 799
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE SUPER-
INTENDENT OF STREETS AND LEVYING ASSESSMENT FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF CONCRETE CURB, GUTTER AND
DRIVEWAY APRONS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvem.nt Act of 1911",
b.ing Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Cod. of the State of Cali-
fornia, the Superintendent of Str.ets did on the 20th day of Decemb.r,
1967, notify the owners or persons in poss.ssion of tho.. c.rtain prop.r-
ties, within the City of Arroyo Grande, California, locat.d a. follow.:
l. On the East side of Alder Street between Grand Ave. and Dodeon
Way.
2. On the West side of Alder Street batw.en Grand Ave. and Sun..t
Drive.
3. On the South side of Cornwall Av.nu. b.tw.an Oak and Bell Streete.
4. On the South side of Cornwall Avenue b.tween B.ll and Alpine
Str.ets.
5. On the North side of Cornwall Avenue batween OQk and B.ll Street..
6. On the East side of Bell Street betw.en Grand and Cornwall Ave-
nues.
7. On the West side of Pecan Street between Fair OQk. Av.nue and
Farrell Road.
8. On the East side of Pecan Str.et b.tw.en Fair OQk. Avenu. and
Farrell Road.
in which no concr.te curbs or gutt.r. have b.en con.tructed theretofor.,
to cause c.rtain installation of concrete curb, gutt.r and driveway apron.
to b. made adjacent to the hereinabove propertie.; thet th. owner. or
persons in possession, .so notifi.d failed and neglected to cau.e said in-
.tallation to be made; and that the Sup.rint.nd.nt of .Street. proceeded
to have said 'installation done and made at a t01:al costot Two Thousand
Five Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars and Forty-Seven Cent. ($2,536.47) and
WHEREAS, the said Superintendent of Str.et. upon th. compl.tion of
said installation, filed with this City Council his r.port upon .aid
installation and costs ther.of, and gave notice to th. owners or per.on.
in possession of said properties hereinabove ref.rred to, in th. tiae,
form and manner prescribed by law, that the hour of 8:00 P.M. on the 11th
day of June, 1968, was the hour fixed for hearing upon .aid raport; and
evidence having been received thereon,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL or THE
CITY OF. ARROYO GRANDE, as follow.:
SECTION 1. That all notices hev. be.n giv.n a. provided by law and
required by the Provisions of th. "Improvement Act of 1911" and that the
report of the Superint.nd.nt of Stra.t. upon the in.tallation, b. and it
i. hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2. That an as.e..ment in the amount of $2,536.47 repre..nt-
ing the in.tallation.made by the Sup.rint.nd.nt of Street. again.t the
properti.s her.inabove de.cribed is h.r.by mad. and confirmed; and the
Superintendent of Stre.ts i. hereby directed. to notify .uch owner. or
per.ons in po.s.ssion of said prop.rti.. of said a.....m.nt.
SECTION 3. That if the owners or per.on in po.....ion of .aid
properties fail to pay .aid a...ssm.nt within five (5) day. from date
her.of, a. provided by law, the Superintendent of Str..t. shall record
a Notic. of Li.n in the Office of th. County R.cord.r of the County.of
San Luis Obi.po.

and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlegel, Smith
and Mayor Wood.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 11th day of June,
1968.
