A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA, FOR A GRANT UNDER P.L. 89-117.
WHEREAS, pursuant to P.L 89-117 the United States of America
has authorized the making of grants to public bodies to aid in financing
the construction of basic water and sewer projects:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE;
1- That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized to
execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Arroyo Grande
with the Department of Housing and Urban Dever6pment, United States
Government, for a grant to aid in financing the construction of A
Comprehensive Network of Trunk and Local Sewer System, and an assurance
of compliance with the Department of Housing and Urban Development
regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
2. That Thomas M. Butch, City Administrator be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as the Department
of Housing and Urban Development may reasonably request in connection
with the application which is herein authorized to be filed.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Councilmen
Lev ine , and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlegel,
Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of
March, 1968.

The undersigned duly qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of
Arroyo Grande does hereby certify: that the foregoing resolution,
authorizing the filing of application with the Department of Housing
and Urban Development, as regularly adopted at a legally convened
meeting of the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande duly held
on the 12th day of March, 1968; and further that such resolution has
been fully recorded in the journal of proceedings and records in my
office.
