RESOLUTION NO. 785
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF
A PORTION OF A CITY STREET (STREETS AND HIGH-
WAYS CODE SECTION 8323)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has elected
to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8321,
et seq.., and in accordance with the provisions thereof, by Resolution,
the Arroyo Grande City Council set the time and place for public hearing
of protests for the vacation of said city street at 8:00 P.M., July 11,
1967, in the Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found, on the basis of evidence pro-
duced at the public hearing, that the hereinafter described public street
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the hereinafter described Arroyo
Grande street be abandoned, and it is so ordered.
Said street is described as:
(1) That portion of Bennett Avenue in the City of
Arroyo Grande described as follows:
A portion of that roadway designated as Walnut
Street on that certain Record of Survey recorded
in Book 12 of Licensed Surveys at Page 97 of the
Official Records of San Luis Obispo County and
the boundaries of which are described as follows:
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of that
parcel designated as Parcel A on the above mentioned
Record of Survey, thence along the following courses
and distances: North 56050'00" East, 60.00 feet;
South 32056' 34" East, 451. 62 feet; North 89052'24"
West, 62.33 feet; South 34021'21" West, 8.42 feet
and thence North 32056'34" West, 420.62 feet to the
point of beginning.
On motion of Councilman Burt, seconded by Councilman Levine, and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Burt and
Mayor Wood.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Schlegel.
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 27th day of February,
1968.
