RESOLUTION NO. 776
RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS
AND DRIVEWAY APRONS AND IMPROV1';MENTS FOR THE PROPER
FUNCTIONING OF THE INSTALLED CURBS, GUTTERS AND DRIVE-
;!\. WAY APRONS
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Arroyo
Grande has reported to the City Council that a petition siqned by property
owners of more than sixty ,per cent (60%) of front footaqe on the East sid~
of Alde~ Street between Grand Avenue and Dodson Way have requested the
installation of curbs, qutters and driveway aprons in front of said part:
and ,
WHEREAS, the Supefintendent of Streets of the City of Arroyo
Grande has reported to the City'Council that a petition siqned by property
owners of more than sixty per cent (60%) of the unimproved portion of the
West side of Alder Street betwetn Grand Avenue and Sun.et Drive have re-
quested the installation of cur s, gutters. and driveway aprons in front
of said part: and
WHEREAS, 1the .superintendent of Streets of <the..City:.of Arroyo
Gran4e has reported to the City Council that more than fifty per cent (50%)
of concrete curbs, qutters and driveway aprons are installed as follows:
l~ On the South side of Cornwall Avenue between Oa~ and Bell Streets.
2. On the South side of Cornwall Avenue between Bell and Alpine Streets.
3. On the North side of Cornwall Avenue between Oak and Bell Streets.
4. On the. East side of Bell Street between Grand and Cornwall Avenues.
5. On the West side of Pecan Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and
,. Farrell Road.
6. On the East side of Pecan Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and
QO,,:, Farrell Road.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY TaB CITY COUNCIL OF TaB
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds, in accordance with
the report of said Superintendent of Streets, and instructs said officer
to notify the 6wners or persons in possession of the properti.. frontinq
On those portions of city streets as listed above in which no concrete
curbs, gutters, or driveway aprons have been constructed theretofore,
to COnstruct, or cause to be constructed, concrete curbs, qutters, and
driveway aprons in front of his said property, and the improvements for
the proper functioninq of the installed curbs, qutters and driveway aprons.
On motion of Councilman Levine, seconded by Councilwoman
Thompson, and on the followinq roll call vote, to wit:
