RESOLUTION NO. 764 ~ J
A RESOLUTION OF THE CrTY COUNCIL OF 'l'HE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF
MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR THE
CURRENT FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1967, AND
FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon
the taxable property within the City of Arroyo Grande, California as
revenue to carryon the various departments is hereby fixed as the
sum of $143,980.08.
2, BE IT FUR1RER RESOLVED that for the purposes of raising
said sum of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable
property within said City as revenue to carryon the various depart-
ments of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967, the
rate of taxes is hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all
taxable property within the said City for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1967, at the rate of $1.33 upon each $100.00 of assessed
valuation of the said property as assessed by the Assessor of the
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and equalized by
the Board of Supervisors of said County.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is passed and
adopted pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the State of Calif-
ornia entitled "An Act to Provide for the Levy and Collection of
Taxes Under the Laws of the State of California, Except Municipal
Corporations of the First Class, and to Provide for the Consolidation
and Aboliton of Certain Muni.cipal Offices, and to Provide that their
Duties may be Performed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixing
the Compensation to be Allowed for such County Officers for Service
to be Rendered to such Municipal Corporation" (California Statutes
1895, Page 219 and amendments thereto).
4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall, within
fifteen (15) days after its passage, be published at least once,
together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in the
Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder, a weekly newspaper of general cir-
culation published and circulated within the City of Arroyo Grande,
California.
On motion by Councilman Burt , seconded by Councilman
Levine , and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlege 1, Burt
and Mayor Wood. ,
