R 0756 ! ---- ~ RESOLUTION NO. 756 RESOLUTION REQUESTING CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION TO BUDGET FUNDS IN 1968-69 FOR IMPROVEMENT OF PORTION OF CUYAMA ROAD (STATE ROUTE 166). WHEREAS, State Route 166 (SR 57) is a critical highway link between the coastal area and the valley area of the State of California; and WHEREAS, this highway is currently substandard in width and alignment; and WHEREAS, the growth of the economy of South San Luis Obispo County depends upon the improvement of this highway; and WHEREAS, portions of this route have been engineered and rights-of-way have been acquired, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does urge the California Highway Commission to make available in its 1968-69 budget the necessary funds for the further improve- ment of Route 166 (SR 57) for construction as an expressway. 2.
