RESOLUTION NO. 751
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ENDORSING RADIO PAGE CENTRAL
COAST AND URGING THE STATE OF CAmFORNr PUBLIC
UTILITIES COMMISSION ACT FAVORABLY UPO THEIR
APPLICATION
WHEREAS the San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa
Barbara County area is presently without one.-way pagiIlg; and
WHEREAS the areas of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, San Luis
Obispo, Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover City,
Oceano, Shell Beach, Avila and Nipomo are served by many of the
same businesses and have a community of interest which overlaps
each area; and
WHEREAS one-way paging will benefit business people,
including those involved in contracting, retail merchandising,
ranching and public and private industry throughout the San
Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County area.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that 1;he City
Council. of the City of Arroyo Grande goes on record endorsing
Radio Page Central Coast and urging that the State of California
Public Utilities Commission act favorably upon Radio Page Cen-
tral Coast's Application before it.
On motion of Counci.lman Levine, seconded by Council-
woman Thompson, and on toe fOllowing roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Schlegel and Burt
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAINED: Mayor Wood
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day
of June, 1967.
