RESOLUTION NO. 748
RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE (
CURBS AND GUTTERS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS AND 1M".
PROVEMENTS FOR THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE
INSTALLED CURBS, GUTTERS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Arroyo Grande has reported to the City Council that more ,than
fifty per cent (50%) of concrete curb and gutter is installed on
west side of South Alpine Street between Grand Avenue and Dodson
Way and on the east side of South Alpine Street between Grand
Avenue and Eman Court; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Arroyo Grande has reported to the City CQuncil that a petition
signed by property owners of more than sixty per cent (60%) of
front footage on the east side of South Alpine Street between
Eman Court and Newman Drive have requested the installation of
curbs and gutters and driveway aprons in front of said part,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TO RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION.!. That the City Council hereby finds, in ac-
cordance with the Report of said Superintendent of Streets, and
instructs said officer to notify the owners or persons in poss-
ession of the properties fronting on those portions on the west
side of South Alpine Street between Grand Avenue and Dodson Way
and on the east side of South Alpine Street between Grand Avenue
and Eman Court and on the east side of South Alpine Street be- !
tween Eman Court and Newman Drive in which no concrete curbs or
gutters have been constructed theretofore, to construct, or cause
to be constructed, concrete curb and gutter and driveway aprons
in front of his said property, and improvements for the proper
functioning of the installed curbs, gutters and driveway aprons.
On motion of Councilman Burt, seconded by Councilman
Schlegel, and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Schlegel, Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day
of April, 1967. i
