RESOLUTION NO. 747
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE NAMING CERTAIN PARKS AND POCJ<ET
PARKS IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, it has been established by Resolution No. 735
that the Parks and Recreation Commission will recommend names for
City Parks to the City Council for their approval and adoption, ,
and,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has con-

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
G1Q,NI)E DOES HEREBY RESOLVE 1\8 FOLLOWS:

1- That the Wayside Park located at approximately 550
South Traffic Way be named "DOWER WAYSIDE PARK" to cOlllllemorate
the name of Beatrice E. Dower, doner of the key parcel of property.
2. That the Wayside Park located between the Brisco
Road underpass and the Halcyon Road off ramp, adjacent to Highway
101 be named "EL CAMINO REAL WAYSIDE PARK".
3 . That the park area, a portion of Subdivision Tract
No.131 located on Woodland Drive between Virginia Drive and Willow
Lane be named "PARQITO VERPE (Little Green) PARK".
4. That the community park located adjacent and west
of Elm Street between Ash Street and Fair Oaks Avenue extended
be named "ENCINAS BONITAS (Fair Oaks) COMMUNITY PARK".
5. That the pocket park located between Traffic Way,
Bridge Street and Nelson Street be named "CHRISTMAS TREB ISLAND"
a. provided for under Section 4 of Resolution No. 735, and further,
that the existing trees planted in this "pocket park" be properly
noted in memory of Mr. Harry Hart in whose name said trees were
planted. -
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Council-
man Levine, and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
schlegel, Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of
April, 1967.

Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby
