.. RESOLUTION NO. 744
\ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE STRONGLY URGING SAN LUIS OBISPO
COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO ADOPT THE AIRPORT
IMPROVEMENT PLAN PRESENTED BY THE SAN LUIS OBISPO
PILOTS' ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the San Luis Obispo County Pilots' Association
has worked diligently and faithfully to prepare an airport improve-
ment plan for the future development of the Oceano Airport, and
WHEREAS, the San Luis Obispo County Pilots' Association
has presented said improvement plan to the San Luis Obispo County
Board of Supervisors for their adoption and implementation,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE that the airport improvement plan pre-
sented by the San Luis Obispo County Pilots' Assoc. is in the best
interest of the City of Arroyo Grande and the entire South San
Luis Obispo County area for the future development of the Oceano
Airport. Said plan would open up this area to greater industrial
development, greater employment opportunity and greater recreational
use, which would create a higher tax base for this area,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Arroyo Grande strongly urges the San Luis Obispo County Board
of Supervisors' adoption of this plan and that said Board of Sup-
ervisors progressively work toward the accomplishments of the aims
of this plan.
On motion of Councilman Levine, seconded by Councilwoman
Thompson, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Schlegel, Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of
