RESOLUTION NO. 736
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF TWO CITY STREETS AND FIXING TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING AS PROVIDED FOR BY STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 8320, et seq.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
finds that public interest and convenience requires the disposal
of certain real property dedicated to said City for street pur-
poses along a portion of Brisco Road and a portion of Grand Ave.
between Halcyon Road and Elm Street in the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Arroyo Grande
City Council elects to proceed under provisions of Streets and
Highways Code Section 8320, 8321 and 8322 in Division 9, Part 3,
Chapter 2, thereof;
That said streets to be vacated are commonly knQwn
as a portion of Brisco Road and Grand Avenue at the North West
Corner of Grand Avenue and Brisco Road; and a portion on the
Southerly side of Grand Avenue between Halcyon Road and Elm
Street, and are described in that certain map on file with the
City Clerk, a copy of which is herein referred to by reference;
That the time and place of hearing protests of the
vacation of said City streets is hereby fixed as follows:
Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers, 8 0' clock p.m., March 28,
1967;
That the City Clerk shall publish this resolution
at least once in the Arroyo Grande Herald Recorder not less than
fifteen (15) days prior to said hearing.
On motion by Councilman Burt, seconded by Council-
woman Thompson, and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Burt and Mayor Wood.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Schlegel.
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 28th day of February,
1967.
