RESOLUTION NO. 732
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANOE REQUESTING THE BOARO OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OB I SPO FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER
CONSERVATION DISTRICT TO INCLUDE FOR DISASTER ASSISTANCE
DAMAGES SUSTAINED IN AND TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
BY THE STORM AND FLOOD WATERS OCCURING IN THE CITY
DURING THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 5 - 9, 1966.
WHEREAS, the Governor of California and the President of the United
States have declared San Luis Obispo County to be a major disaster
area due to the storm and floodwater damage occuring in the County dur-
ingthe week of December 5-9, 1966; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande has sustained damage to its_works
and fa~ilities and incurred extra costs as a result of said storm and
floodwater damage; and
WHEREAS, because of the magnitude and locetion of similar demtge
throughout the County, It Is In the public Interest that applications
for federal disaster financial assistance be coordinated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande that tha Board of Supervisors of the Sen
Luis Obispo County Flood Control end Water Conservation District Is
hereby requested to Include the disaster assistance needs of the City
of Arroyo Grande for damage and/or eKtra costs occurlng to our .gency
during the week of December 5-9, 1966, In the application of the San
Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for
federal financial assistance under (Public Law 875) for the following
damage and/or extra costs:
1. Storm drain line from Willow Loss of Headwall and erosion
La ne to Creek
2. Halcyon Road Strom drain line Loss of exit facilities and
eros ion
3. Traffic Way Bridge Debris under Traffic Way bridge.
4. Water line to Tract #186 Overhead Crossing
