RESOLUTiON NO. 722
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING THE PARK ANO
RECREATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has prepared a
general plan report together with a general plan map entitled the "Park and
Recreation Plan" and did all things legally and technically required by law
to develop a report and map adequate in scope and authority to serve the pur-
poses of a general plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65501 et seq. the City
Council gave required notice and did hold a publ ic hearing on October 25th
1966, for the purpose of considering the adoption of the Park and Recreation
Element of the General Plan report and map, and at which publ ic hearing the
Park and Recreation Element and report and map were displayed, explained
and reported upon; and
WHEREAS, said Park and Recreation Element of the General Plan report
and map thereof are necessary for sound future community development, the
preservation of community values, and the promotion of the general health,
safety, convenience and welfare of the citizens of the City of Arroyo
Grande; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has a respon-
sibil ity to plan for t~e desirable future growth and development of the City
of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby
find and determine that the publ ic interest, convenience and necessity require
that the Park and Recreation Element of the General Plan report and map be
adopted.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby
adopt the Park and Recreation Element of the General Plan together with the
maps and descriptive material.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman Burt and by the
following roll ca 1 I vote, to wi t:
AYES: Councilmen Levine, Schlegel, Burt and Mayor pro tem
T~ompson.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Wood.
