RESOLUTION NO. 716
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE PROHIBITING PARKING ON CERTAIN AREA
OF BRANCH STREET (IN PARTICULAR, THAT CERTAIN
AREA LOCATED BETWEEN THE TWO ENTRANCE DRIVEWAYS TO
DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS' PARKING LOT)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of A~~oyo G~ande is, by
o~dinance, pe~mitted to establish "No Pa~king" :zones; and
WHEREAS, it appea~s necessa~y and desi~able to establish a "No
Pa~king" :zone on a ce~tain portion of B~anch St~eeti
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of A~~oyo G~ande, that pa~king be, and the same is hereby, prohibited
on the north side of Branch St~eet in the area particularly described
as follows:
Extending fou~teen feet (14') easterly from a point
located ninety-fou~ feet (94') easterly from the
easterly prope~ty line of Nevada Street, and
More commonly known as that pa~ticular area on
Branch St~eet located between the two entrance
driveways, intersecting such Branch Street, to the
Downtown Me~chants Parking Lot.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of police of the City of
Arroyo Grande be, and he is herewith, ordered to install any and all
necessa~y "no parking" cont~ol signs on said Branch Street at the
specifically above described a~ea to indicate and effect such "No
Parking".
On motion by Councilman Levine, seconded by Councilwoman Thompson,
and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlegel,
Burt and Mayor Wood.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 13th day of September, 1966.
