ORDINANCE NO. 219 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING CERTAIN- .
SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 4. TITLE 9. SECTION 9-4.2421, (A)
RELATING TO CURBS, GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS WITHIN SAID
CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
r SECtiON 1: That the following sectlon'of Chapter 4, Title 9, Section
9-4.2421 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code be amended to read as follows:

Upon an application or a u ding perm t, the nsta at on 0 concrete cur s,
gutters, and sidewalks along the full frontage of the parcel of which the building
permit applies. to grades and locations approved by the Director of Public
Works, shall be required In any district other than A, A-P. R-A-B-3, R-A-B-2,
or R-S.
This section shall In no way be construed as to preclude the City's
right to require concrete curb, gutter sidewalk, street conform paving and
necessary dedications In any zone within the City. If an exception Is re-
quested for any permit regardless of the district within which the construction
Is permitted. It shall not be considered effective without written approval of
the Director of Public Works, pursuant to Paragraphs (b) and (c) of this section.
In the event a frontage has been previously Improved with concrete
curb. gutter and sidewalk, said Installation shall be subject to Inspectlgn
by the PUblic Works Department prior to final approval of the constructlo~ for
which the Building Permit was Issued. In the event the existing concrete curb,
gutter and/or sidewalk Is damaged or fails to meet acceptable grades established
for the frontage. the permltee shall be required to remove and replace those
portions' found unacceptable.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council Kember Smith
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Smith, Kogan, Vandeveer, Hillis and ~yor Pope
