RESOLUTION NO. 3430
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CITY
PROPERTY FOR THE 14TH ANNUAL MARCH OF DIMES WALK
AMERICA TO BE HELD SATURDAY, MAY 6, 2000
WHEREAS, ofganizers of the March of Dimes Walk America have requested the use of
the grass area fronting Nelson Street between Short and Mason Streets for their annual
Walk America fund raising event to be held May 6, 2000; and

WHEREAS, members of the March of Dimes Walk America will be responsible for traffic
control and cleanup.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande as follows:
1. That the grass area located on Nelson Street betvveen Short and Mason
Streets shall be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6,
2000 for the purpose of holding the registration, barbecue lunch and live
or recorded musical entertainment for the Walk America fund raising
event; and
2. That the March of Dimes Walk America will adhere to certain requirements
and cOnditions set forth by the Public Works, Police, and Building and Fire
Departments regarding security and traffic control and all other applicable
conditions of a Temporary Use Permit to be issued by the City.
On motion of Council Member Tolley, seconded by Council Member Ferrara, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Tolley, Ferrara, Runels, Dickens, and Mayor Lady
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 2200 day of February, 2000.
