O 188 C.S. ( ORDINANCE NO. 188 C. S. ( AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE EXTENDING THE PROVISIONS OF URGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 187 C. S. RELATING TO THE CONDOMINIUM CONVERS.IONS. WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65858, this Counci1 adopt[,:i ~"solu' t ion No. 1339 giving notice of a public hearing this date to consider whether the provisions of Ordinance No. 187 C.S. should be extended pending further stUDj by the City of the proper regulations of condominium conversions; and WHEREAS. after holding said hearing this Counci I finds and determines .;.,', further study of the proper regulations for condominium convcrsion is reqL "~2d, ior' the reasons set forth in Ordinance No. 187 C.S. and Resolution No. 1339. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Counci 1 of the City of Arroyo Grande as fa 110lt/s: I I SECT! ON 1: The provisions of Ordinance No. 187 C.S. are hereby renewed and extended for an additional 120 days f,'om the date hereof. SECTION 2: The Planning Commission and the Planning Director are hereby directed to exert their best efforts to expedite the study of this problem and to report to this Council as soon as possible concerning the progress of their studies, SECTION 3: This Ordinance is enacted as an urgency ordinance for the reasons I set forth in Ordinance No. 18] C.S. and Resolution No. 1339, and upon a further finding by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande that to permit such uses without appropriate controls would be contrary to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of this community. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect upon ;ts passage. SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon 'ts passage, before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after the passing of this Ordinance it shall be published once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
