AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING ARTICLE
5 OF CHAPTER 3, TITLE 3, OF THE ARROYO GRANDE
MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 3-3.503 RELATING
TO THE TAX UPON CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL DWELLING
UNITS, MOBILEHOME LOTS AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Section .503 of Chapter 3 of Title 3 of the Arroyo Grande
Mun i c.i pa I Code is hereby amended to read as fa I lows :
Section 3-3.503 Construction Tax. A construction tax is rereby imposed
upon the privilege of construction in the City of Arroyo Grande of any mobilehome
lot, residential dwelling unit, or commercial building, and every person to whom
,a permit to construct any building in the City of Arroyo Grande is issued and
every person to whom a permit to connect to sewer and water lines to service
such building In the City of Arroyo Grande is issued, shall pay to the City of
Arroyo Grande such tax at the following rate:
A. Residential dwell ing unit,
including buildings upon
mobilehome lots: $400.00
B. Commercial buildings: $ .20 per sq. ft.
C. Alterations to dwellings: $ .30 per new sq. ft.,
not to exceed
$400.00
, SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall
be published once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon,
in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Council Member de Leon, seconded by Council Member Gallagher
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Gallagher, de Leon, Smith and Mayor Millis
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Pope
.the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted this 25th day of July, 1978.
