ORDINANCE NO. 162 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING THE
THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SUBSECTION B
TO SECTION .09 OF CHAPTER 5, TITLE 3, TO PROVIDE FOR THE
TERM FOR MEMBERS OF THE PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT
ADVISORY BOARD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Section 9, Chapter 5 of Title 3 of the Arroyo Grande
Municipal Code Is amended to read as follows:
Sec. )-5.09. AdvIsory Board.
A. For the purpose of advIsing the Council and making recommendatIons as ,
to how the revenue derived from the additional levy of license taxes imposed ~y
this chapter shall be used within the scope of the purposes set forth In Section
3-5.03 of the chapter, and to have and perform such other powers and duties as
the Council may determine, there shall be created an Advisory Board consisting
of five (5) members to be appointed by the Council and to serve at Its pleasure,
such members to be persens who have businesses within the "Area" and pay an
additrenal levy of license taxes as prevlded for by this chapter. The Ceunc "
may annually approve a budget to Include an estimate of the expenditures to be
made to carry out the purposes of the "Area".
B. Members of the Advisory Board shall serve for a period of three (3)
years, beginning on July I. The terms of two (2) members shall expire on
June 30, 1978, and every three (3) years thereafter, and the terms of the three (3)
other members shall expire on June 30, 1979, and every three (3) years thereafter.

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be In full force and effect thirty (30)
days after Its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after Its passage, It shall
be published once, together with the names of the Council Members vetlng thereon,
In the Five Cities Tlmes-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councrlman Gallagher and 1
