ORDINANCE NO. 152 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECtiONS
11751, 1752, 1753 AND 1754 TO CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE 9
TO PROVIDE fOR AN OPEN SPACE OR "0" DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ODES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Article 17 of Chapter 4 of Title 9 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal
Code Is amended by adding the following sections thereto:
Section 9-4.1751. Open Space or "0" District.
The "0" District is designed to preserve a rural and natural atmosphere and
to preserve open space in an urban area to hold for future generations. Said open
space to preserve the environment and ecology of the area.
Section 9-4.1752. Use Permitted.
(a) Crop and tree fanning.
(b) Public parks and open space for passive and active use.
Section 9-4.1753. Uses Permitted Subject to Obtaining a Use Penllt.
(a) Golf Course.
(b) Private parks -- non-profit.
(c) Private recreation facilities which are a part of any urban develop-
ment and which Is pennanently set aside as open space or recreation facility.
(d) Riding and hiking trails.
(e) Structures accessory to a permitted use.
(f) Any structure or use or removal of vegetation that may tend to defeat
the purpose of this district.
(g) Any other use which In the opinion of the Planning COIIIII55lon could be
compatible in the area.
SectIon 9-4.1754. Development Standards.
(a) Golf courses -- five (5) acres. -
(b) Crop and tree farming -- one (I) acre. ~
(c) Parking, all yards, height, building coverage, design and location
shall be as specified In the Use Per_It.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be In full force and effect thirty ()O) days
after its passage, and within fifteen (IS) days after Its passage, It shall be
publ ished once, together wIth the names of the Councl'.n voting thereon, In the
Five Cities Tlmes-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman Splerllng, seconded by Councllun Gallagher and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:

the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted this 9th day of May, 1977.
