ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
CHAPTER 10, TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL
CODE TO PROVIDE FOR ADOPTION OF THE 1976 EDITION
OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 10 of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code
is amended to read as follows:
Section 8-10.01. Adoption of Uniform Mechanical Code.
For the purposes of governing and controlling the installation, alteration,
repair, and inspection of, and the issuance of permits for, all mechanical
systems in the City, that certain Code designated as the "Uniform Mechanical Code",
1976 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical
Officials, three (3) copies of which have been filed for use and examination by
the public in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference and
made a part of this chapter as though set forth in this chapter in full, subject,
however, to the amendments, additions, and deletions set forth in this chapter,
and sa i d Code sha II be known as the "Mechan i ca I Code" for the City.
SECT! ON 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall I
be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.

on the following roll call vote, to wit:
