ORDINANCE NO. 116 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 OF CHAPTER 7 OF TITLE 2 OF
THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
TERM> AND MEMBERSHIP OF THE ARROYO GRANDE PARKING
AND TRAFFIC COMMISSION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 2 of the Arroyo Grande
Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 2-7~01 CRUTED: MEMBERSHIP
A Parking and Traffic Commission for the City is hereby created. The
Parking and Traffic Commission shall consist of five (5) members, all of whom
shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. The members
shall be qualified electors of the City.
,SECTION 2: Section 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 2 of the Arroyo Grande
Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 2-7 .02 TERMS OF OFFICE: VACANCIES
Of the members of the Parking and Traffic Commission first appointed,
one shall be appointed for a term of one (1) year, one shall be appointed for
a term of two (2) years, and one shall be appointed for a term of three (3)
years. Their successors and all additional members to said commission shall
be appointed for terms of three (3) years.
If a vacancy shall occur otherwise than by expiration of term, the Mayor,
with the approval of the Council, shall appoint a qualified person for ,the
unexpired portion of the term.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman Millis, seconded by Councilman de Leon and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, de Leon, Schlegel and Millis.
NOES: Mayor Talley
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted this 25th day of February, 1975.
