AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING THE
ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER 6 TO
TITLE 9 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR AN ANNEXATION FEE SCHEDULE
FOR ANNEXING INTO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO"S:
SECTION 1: Title 9 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amend,'d "y
adding Chapter 6 rl'lating to imposition of annexation fees, to read as fa :ows:
Section 9-6,01. It is declared to be the policy of toe City of Arr,':
t;rande that at the time of annexation, an annexation fee shall be and is her. by
imposed on all property for which annexation is sought, said fee to be paid to
the City by tile owners of said territory prior to annexation thereof.
Section 9-6,02. The fee hereby imposed on the territory proposed to be
annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande shall be and is hereby fixed and assessed
as follows:
a, Per lot fee of .004 cents (4/10 of one (1) cent) for each
square foot of land, with a minimum fee of $25,00; or
b, $150.00 for each acre of land and any part thereof.
Section 9-6,03, In addition to said charges, fixed and determined as
aforesaid, all property hereafter annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, shall
be subjected to taxation after annexation, equally with the property with! 11 the
City, and to pay any bonded indebtedness outstanding or authorized at the date
of filing the petition for annexation,
Section 9-6,04, The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande shall
have the right to and may elect to waive the annexation fee imposed by this
Ord inance.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force andeffec t thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On mot ion of Councilman Spierling, seconded by Councilman de Leon and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Schlegel, Millis, Spierling, de Leon and Mayor Talley

ABSENT: None
