AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
. CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE 6 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MtJNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO GARBAGE COLLECTION RATES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO CRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Secti.on 10 of Chapter 4 of Title 6 is hereby amended w read
as follows:
Section 6-4,10, Collection Rates, Rates for 'the coll,'ction of refiise,
~arbage, wet garbage and rubbish, shall be as follows:
A. RESIDENTIAL SERVICE
1. "Combination" Service. "Combination" garbaK" service is d...fined
as the service of collecting one standard garbage contained of 32 gallons or
less with an 80 pound weight limit plus trash and rubbish of up to one cubic
yard, boxed or bundled so that one man Can load it onto the garbage truck, with
all garbage containers located at the front property line of the served residence.
"Combination" one time a week service - $3.00 per month
2. Authorized Additional Charges. Pickup of the garbage container
in the backyard with the balance of the trash and rubbish picked up at the front
property lin.':
One container one time a week service - $3.50 per month
Each additional container - $1.50 per month
B. MULTI-DWELLING UNITS (Duplex, Triplex, Apartment Units & Trailer Parks)
1. "Combination one time a week service per unit - $2.75
2. Service where the container is rented from contract agcnt:
a. One pickup per week - $1.75 per unit plus $5,00 container rent
per month
b. Two pickups per week - $2.50 per unit plus $5.00 container rent
per month

Items not covered shall be negotiated as an extra service,
Where a license for the collection and disposal of refuse, garbage, w"t
garbage, and rubbish has been granted as provided for in Section 6-4.05 of this
Chapter. th,' Council may in such license provide for the maximum charges to be
mad" by tlw 1 icensee.
Licensees shall collect and dispose of the refuse, garbage, wet garbage,
and rubbish in the City in the manner provided in this Chapter and shall not
charge any rates in excess of the rates specified in this section.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full fore,,, and effect thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be' published once, together with the names of the Coun" ilmen voting thereon, in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Millis and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilman Spierling, de Leon, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted this 27th day of August, 1974.
