A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Ai�ROYO
GRAND� GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF PUBI.IC CO�IVENIENC� AND
NECESSITY TO BEACH CITIES CAB COMPANY FOR THE OPERATI�I
OF A TAXICAB SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS CONTINGENT UPON
FULL AND TOTAL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL CONDITION3 AND
REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE 5, CHAPTER 10 "TAXIC/QBS" OF THE
ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, Beach Cities Cab Company, owned and operated by Jeff Goldenberg, has
applied for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxicab service
in the City of Arroyo Grande; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider the taxicab service was duly noticed and held on
June 13, 2000; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the public convenience and necessity require the
proposed taxicab service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
hereby grants and bestows a Certificate of Public Canvenience and Necessity on Beach
Cities Cab Company, contingent upon full and total compliance with all the oonditions and
requirements of Title 5, Chapter 10 "Taxicabs" of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the conditions and requirements of the Arroyo Grande
Municipal Code are not met by the applicant, the Certificate of Public Convenienae and
Necessity will not be issued.
On motion of Council Member Totley, seconded by Council Member Dickens, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Tolley, Dickens, Runels, and Mayor Pro Tem Ferrara
NDES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Lady
