A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT' OF' MONEY NECESSARY
TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JULY 1, 1965, AND FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES
FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR
BE IT RESOLVED BY'I'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF l',RROYO GRANDE,
AS FOLLOWS:
1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon
the taxable property within the City of Arroyo Grande, California"
as revenue to carry on the various depart,ments is hereby fixed as
the sum of $137,292.12,
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the purpose$ of ra~sing
said sum of money necessary to be raised by t;,axatlon upon the taxable
property within said City as revenue to carryon the various depart-
ments of said City for the fiscal year beginning July L 1965, the
rate of taxes is hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all
taxable property within the said City for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1965, at the rate of $1.33 upon each $100.00 of assessed
valuation of the said property as assessed by the Assessor of the
County fo San Luis Obispo, State of California, and equalized by
the Board of Supervisors of said County.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is passed and
adopted pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the St.:ate. of
California entitled "An Act to Provide for the Levy and Collection
of Taxes under the Laws of the State of California, Except
Municipal Corporations of the Fisrt class, and to Provide for
the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and
to Provide that their Duties may be Performed by Certain Officers
of the County, and Fixing the Compensation to be Allowed for such
County Officers for Services to be Rendered to Such Municipal
Corporations" (California Statutes 1895, Page 219 and amendments
thereto. )
4. BE IT FURTHER R~SOLVED that this Resolution shall within
fifteen (15) days after its passage, be published at least once,
together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in the
Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder, a weekly newspaper of general cir-
culation published and circulated within the City of Arroyo Grande,
California.
On motion of Councilman McNeil, seconded by Councilwoman Thompson
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilman Levine" McNeil
and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Bur-c
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 24th day of Auqust, 1965.
