RESOLUTION NOo 651
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE BY CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE TO BRUSH POPPER RIDING CLUB,
INC., A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande,
California, has determined that approximately 5.13 acres of Clty
owned property located in Lots 125 and 131 of the Ra~chos Corral
de P::.edra, along Highway 1 outsi,de of the City of Arroyo Grande,
will not be needed by the City for five years and that t,he 1"se of
said property by the Brush Popper Riding Club, Inc. for staging
horse shows and other organized events, is for the common benefit
of the res ident,s of the City of Arroyo Grande. It is therefore I
resolved as follows:
RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, Calif-
orniaQ that the hereinafter described lease be, and the same lS,
hereby accepted and the Mayor of said City of Arroyo Grande be,
and he is, hereby authorized to sign and execute the same for and
on behalf of said City, and the Clerk of said City be, and she iSQ
h,,,y,,,:t:y aut~horized to attest the signature of said Mayor and to
aff.i.x thereto the corporate seal of said City, said lease belLJ
described as follows:
A certain lease dated the 1st day of May, 1965,
by and between the City of Arroyo Grande, Lessor,
and the Brush Popper Riding Club, Inc.., a Calif-
ornia Corporation, Lessee, wherein Lessor leases
to Lessee certain premises located along Highway
1 outside of the City of Arroyo Grande, California,
and containing approximately 5.13 acres in Lot,s
125 and 131 of Ranchos Corral de Piedra, County of
San Luis Obispo, State of California, for the pur-
pose of staging horse shows or other organized
events to take place on horseback.
On motion of Councilman Wood, seconded by Councilwoman
Thompson, and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES, Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Wood, McNeil,
Burt and Mayor Jacobs.
NOES, None
ABSENT, None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted t, ' day of April, 1965.
