WHEREAS, the Pa,cj.f::.c Gas and In"Jctric Co. has applied
for and has been mald.ng ne>t<::!:>j.e and valiant cff:c;:ts to
brin~ about the in~tal]ation of an Electric ~uclear Power
Plant on the Nipomo Hesa in San Luis Obispo County,
California; and
WHEREAS, a plant of this type will have a prof.ound
effect on this area 0.0 to the future educational, recr~a-
tional, cultural and financial progress and gro~~h of this
South San Luis Obispo County ar.~a,
NO;'1, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Arroyo Grande hereby strongly en~oroes
and supports the proposed Pacific Gas and Electric Nuclear
Power Plant on the Nipomo Mesa in San Luis Obispo County,
California, and all persons are urged to assist in any
way they can in the successful installation of this
Electric Nuclear Power ~lant.
On motion by Councilwoman Thompson ,
seconded by Councilman Burt ,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councillmen Burt and
Wood
NOES: None
